PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Branched CaDDBS is not considered to meet the criteria for a PBT. The available data demonstrate that while the substance is not likely to be readily biodegradable, it does degrade almost entirely over an extended period of time. The Log Kow suggests that the substance may bioaccumulate but modeling of four representative structures indicates that it should not be bioaccumultive. Toxicity of the substance is moderate, with the lowest chronic NOEC of 0.23 mg/L above the limit used to classify as toxic for PBT purposes. No other toxicity characteristics are evident in mammalian testing that would meet the requirements for PBT.
