Description of key information

According to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VII, Section 7.11, Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. According to ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance (November 2012), 2-ethylhexanoic acid, zirconium salt does not contain functional groups that are directly associated with explosive properties. 
The substance “ 2-ethylhexanoic acid, zirconium salt“ is therefore considered to be void of any explosive properties. Finally, it is noted that despite the long-term use of 2-ethylhexanoic acid, zirconium salt, this substance is not classified for explosive properties according to UN transport regulations and derogation from testing is hereby applied for.
