Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In a valid OECD 211, the 21-day LOEC for Daphnia magna was 31 mg/L; the NOEC for reproduction was 18 mg/L.

For ethyl methacrylate the long-term study in Daphnia magna showed a LOEC of 31 mg/L and a NOEC for reproduction of 18 mg/L. Data are available for the lower alkyl methacrylates category which indicate a trend of increasing toxicity (21 -d NOEC/LOEC) from the acid and the methyl ester to the ester with the longest side chain in the category, 2‑EHMA.
