Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

In the workplace air of a russian MMP and acrolein production plant, air concentrations for MMP (0.1 - 6.0 mg/m3 air (0.023 - 1.38 ppm)), formaldehyde (0.05 - 8.1 mg/m3 air), acetaldehyde (0.48 - 22.0 mg/m3 air) and acrolein (0.1 - 8.2 mg/m3 air (0.043 - 3.5 ppm)) were measured. During the years 1971 - 1973 occurred an increase of diseases in dependency of the period of employment and in female workers the incidence was higher than in males. But the incidence of diseases was lower in comparison with the rate of disease of all workers at thus production area. The qualitative and quantitative contribution of MMP for the observed human diseasse can not be assessed from this paper, because a lot of other harmful compounds in the same concentration range were identified in the working area.
