Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
1989
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study without detailed documentation
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
not applicable
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
column elution method
Water solubility:
<= 3 mg/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
>= 1 - <= 13
Details on results:
According to the laboratory evaluations, the solubility of the substance is 3 ppm max. The same figure is obtained also at pH 1 and pH 13. A value of the water solubility very close to that, was obtained during the determination of the acute toxicity to rainbow trout. A similar value has been indirectly obtained during the biodegradability assay also.
