Evaluation of the main listed compounds for structural alerts indicates that the substance has no concern for explositivity. Furthermore, assessment of calculated oxygen balance for the predicted substances within the composition also indicate that the substance has no concerns for explosivity (< -200). Components 2 and 3 did demonstrate an Oxygen Balance that could be indicative of the propensity towards explosivity; however as the substance has no structural alerts there is no cause for concern.

Table 1: Summary of results

Structural Alerts  all components  None
Oxygen Balance Value  Component 1  -209.44
  Component 2 -185.87
   Component 3  -196.14
   Component 4  -215.22
   Component 5  -204.92
 Potentially Explosive    No
Interpretation of results:
other: not explosive according to Regulation 1772/2008
Conclusions:
As there are no structural alerts associated with explosivity for the constituent molecules, it is concluded overall that the substance demonstrates no propensity towards explosivity. No further study to investigate this endpoint is proposed to be required.

Description of key information

Method: Estimation of the propensitiy of the test material to be potenially explosive based on Structural Group Evaluation and Oxygen Balance Calculation

Results: no structural alerts, calculcated oxygen balance does not indicate a propensitiy towards explosiveness.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

As there are no structural alerts associated with explosivity for the constituent molecules, it is concluded overall that the substance demonstrates no propensity towards explosivity. No further study to investigate this endpoint is proposed to be required.
