Description of key information

BASF 2015:

Onset temperature of 245°C; Peak temperature of 285°C; Released amount of heat 760 J/g; The reaction is self-accelerating.

BASF, 1998:

Onset temperature: 200°C; Peak temperature: 255°C; Heat production: 1100 J/g

BASF, 2005:

- First exothermic reaction: Onset temperature of 115°C; Peak temperature of 148°C; Released amount of heat 50 J/g

- Second exothermic reaction: Onset temperature of 235°C; Peak temperature of 485°C; Released amount of heat >2090 J/g; The reaction is self-accelerating

Siemens AG, 2015:

The test item showed an exothermal effect in the temperature range 135 - 190°C with a maximum enthalpy of -31 J/g. The measurements were stopped at 260°C and 250°C, respectively.

Additional information

The substance decomposes when heated.

Tests were performed according to OECD 113 or DIN 51007

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is not considered to be classified for thermal stability under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
