Description of key information
The solubility of Mexoryl SBF in water was found to be > 590 g/L (CV = 2%) at room temperature.

The solubility of Mexoryl SBF in water was determined according to International Guidelines. As no saturation conditions were determined during the preliminary test, the main test was not performed.
In order to confirm that the test item was soluble, an analytical method was used for measuring the concentration of Mexoryl SBF in solution. This analytical method was validated including the estimation of the precision and accuracy using a solution an approximately 1000g/L of test item/L of water. Taking into account the amounts of test item and water, the measured concentrations (expressed as g of test item/L of solution) were in good agreement with the expected value. Following these results, the test was considered to be complete.

The study was considered as reliable with restrictions, because temperature and pH were not reported.
