Additional information

Docosanamide (CAS No. 3061-75-4) is regarded as readily biodegradable according to the results for the structural similar substance (Z)-Docos-13-enamide of > 60 % degradation in a CO2 evolution test (OECD 301B). This finding is further corroborated by the fact that the structural related substances amides, C16-C18 (even numbered) and oleamide have consistently been shown to be readily biodegradable. Considering docosanamide (CAS No. 3061-75-4) as readily biodegradable, further simulation testing on sediment and soil is not required.
