Additional information

Potassium and phosphate are abundant in the human body, mainly as electrolytes of the intracellular fluid. Safe intakes can be proposed on physiological levels of these electrolytes.

Phosphate is present in the blood as anorganic phosphate, organic ester and phospholipid.

Potassium is mainly present intracellularly in the body. Extracellular potassium levels are maintained via distal kidney tubuli mechanisms.

As inorganic salts they are expected to be very poorly absorbed through skin.
