Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Phosphoric acid, potassium salt (2:3), dihydrate is not acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the acute toxicity of phosphoric acid, potassium salt (2:3), dihydrate (CAS No. 66922-99-4) to Daphnia magna is available (Priestly and Mullee, 2010). This test was conducted according to OECD Guideline No. 202, Daphnia sp., Acute Immobilisation Test (2004), under GLP conditions. Analytical determinations were used in order to verify the test concentration throughout the test. After 48 hours of exposure to the test substance, no adverse effects were observed in daphnids mobility and fitness. Thus, the EC50 was determined to be above 100 mg/L and the NOEC 100 mg/L.
