Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Biodegradation in water and sediment: simulation tests

Currently viewing:

Administrative data

Endpoint:
biodegradation in water: simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with Column 2 Specific Rules for Adaptation from Column 1 under Annex IX, simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water does not need to be conducted if the substance is highly insoluble in water. It was not possible to determine the water solubility, as it was not analytically feasible. Use of QSAR indicates that the water solubility is 0.055 mg/L at 25°C. Therefore, the test substance can be considered highly insoluble.
