Three DSC measurements in aluminium crucibles with a hole were performed up to final test temperatures of 500 °C, 400 °C, and 200 °C, respectively. An endothermal effect (melting) was found in the temperature range of 125-160 °C. The onset temperatures were derived from the intersection of the tangent line with the highest slope of the endothermal peak with the baseline. The results are summarized in the table below.

Description of key information

142.6 °C at ca. 1013.3 hPa (OECD 102, EU A.2)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
142.6 °C

Additional information

The melting point of the substance was determined using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). In an earlier DSC experiment (OECD 102, EU A.2) a similar melting point value of 144 °C was obtained.
