Description of key information

The 96h-LC50 for carp (Cyprinus carpio) exposed to Pergafast 425 exceeded a time weighted average concentration of 4.5 µg/L, being considered as the maximum solubility of the test item in test medium.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In an 96-h acute toxicity study conducted according to OECD guideline 203, carp (Cyprinus carpio) were exposed to Pergafast 425, under static conditions, at a saturated solution prepared at a loading rate of 100 mg/L. Samples taken from the limit concentration and the control were analysed. The measured concentration in the SS was 4.7 µg/L at the start of the test, 5.0 µg/L after 24 hours of exposure, and 4.0 µg/L at the end of the test. Based on these results, the TWA concentration was calculated to be 4.5 µg/L and used to express the effect parameters. No mortality or other effects were observed in the control and at the limit concentration during the exposure period. In conclusion, the 96h-LC50 exceeded the time weight average concentration of 4.5 ug/L, being considered as the maximum solubility of the test item in test medium. The study is considered to be reliable without restrictions.
