Toxicity to fish

In a 96-h acute toxicity study, fish (Golden orfe) were exposed to Gamma-octalacton at nominal concentrations of 0 (control), 21.5, 46.4, 100, 215, 464 mg/L under static conditions. Based on the result, the 96-h LC50 was between 100 and 215 mg/L. The 96-h NOEC was 46.4 mg/L. The 96-h LC100 was > 0.385 mg/L.

Toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The obtained results, in compliance with assay validity criteria, showed that Daphnia magna EC50 after 48 hours of the nominal concentration of the test item "OCTALACTONE GAMMA" is equal to 70.790 mg/L.

Toxicity to algae

The obtained results, in compliance with assay validity criteria, showed that Algae EC50 of the nominal concentration of the test item "OCTALACTONE GAMMA" after 72 hours is 77.816 mg/1.

Toxicity to micro-organisms

The EC50 value of the test item "CTALACTONE GAMMA" after 3 hours results greater than 100 mg/L ( EC50 =285.629 mg/L).
