Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.9. Flash Point and DIN EN ISO 2719 (2003) to determine flash point of the test item using the Pensky-Martens closed cup method. The start temperature for the main test (114 °C) was chosen based on preliminary test results. Approx. 63.5 g of the test item was filled in the cup and heated to the estimated temperature. The measured flash point at atmospheric pressure was corrected to a standard pressure of 1013 hPa. The flash point was determined to be at 114.4 °C (corrected to the ambient pressure). Thus, the flash point of the test item was determined to be 114 °C (corrected and rounded down to the nearest multiple of 0.5 °C) at 997.9 – 997.5 hPa.
