Results of the Preliminary Test

The test item melted while it was tried to ignite the powder train with a hot flame from the Teclu burner. As long as the flame of the Teclu burner was aimed towards the test item, the forming vapours burned. When the Teclu burner was removed the flame ceased immediately. There was no inflammation observed within two minutes of heating the pile with the gas burner. Furthermore no propagation of flames or smouldering was observed within the testing period of four minutes.

It was impossible to ignite the test item and therefore no main test had to be performed.

The test item

is classified to be not highly flammable
