Additional information

The flash point of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines EU Method A.9 (Flash-Point), United Nations No. ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev.5, ASTM International, ASTM D93, ASTM International, ASTM D7094 and ISO Guide 3679 under GLP conditions using the closed cup method. The study was awarded a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the principles for assessing data quality set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).

The flash-point was determined using an Eraflash flash-point tester. The flash-point was automatically corrected for atmospheric pressure by the apparatus.

For the main test starting at 168 °C, ignition was tested for every 2 °C temperature rise. The determination was carried out in duplicate. The result for both tests was 192 °C.

Under the conditions of this study the flash point of the test material was determined to be 192 °C at atmospheric pressure.
