Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Let in fresh air. Immediately remove person concerned out of danger area. In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
After skin contact : Wash away with soap and water and rinse.
After eye contact : Flush with plenty of water (10 - 15 min.). In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
After ingestion: Call a physician. Do not induce vomiting! May cause chemical burns in mouth and throat. Obtain medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Adapt extinguishing measures to suit the environment.
Suitable extinguishing media : Foam, CO2, powder extinguisher.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Not combustible under normal conditions. If involved in a fire it will support combustion In case of fire do not breathe fumes
Advice for firefighters : None.
Accidental release measures
Take the precautions customary when handling chemicals.
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures : None.
Environmental precautions : Prevent discharge of larger quantities to drain or water courses. If the product contaminates lakes, rivers or sewages, inform appropriate authorities in accordance with local regulations.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up : Contain and collect spillage with non-combustible absorbent materials, e.g. sand, earth, vermiculite, diatomaceous earth and place in container for disposal according to local regulations
Handling and storage
The usual precautionary measures for the handling of chemicals have to be observed.
Precautions for safe handling : None.
Containers should be kept dry and sealed.
