Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Two vapour pressure studies are relevant and available. Geoffrey(2003) reported 8.2x10 -5Pa at 20°C and 1.8x10 -4Pa at 25°C in an OECD 104 guideline (gas saturation) study, which was assigned a Klimisch reliability rating of 1. Takagi(1959) reported data in the peer reviewed literature in a non-guideline experiment (using the Knudsen method), not conducted under a quality assurance system, which was assigned a Klimisch reliability rating of 3, primarily due to lack of reported experimental detail. The reported equation fitting the vapour pressure- temperature curve allowed the calculation of 8.95x10 -5Pa at 20°C and 1.82x10 -4Pa at 25°C, which is in very good agreement with the results from Geoffrey.

The value reported by Geoffrey is considered to be relevant, adequate, and reliable for risk assessment purposes; the endpoint is complete.
