Description of key information

Because of the results of the preliminary test, dibismuth trisulfide is considered non flammable.

Additional information

In the preliminary test the sample could not be ignited. Therefore according to the guideline, further testing (burning rate tests) was not required. Due to the result of the preliminary test the sample should not be classified as a flammable solid. It is not a dangerous good of Div. 4.1 “readily combustible solids”

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the results of the flammability test (not flammable), the test item dibismuth trisulfide in its solid form is not classified according to Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) and Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).
