Method

Ethical approval:
not specified
Details on study design:
Skin patch applied to each of 29 human volunteers: reactions at test sites scored 1 and 24h after patch removal.
Details on exposure:
24h occluded application of aqueous test substance solutions (0.1, 1, 10%) to skin.

Results and discussion

Results:
No erythema or eschar was observed at any test site, in any of the 29 volunteers.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
A complete absence of skin reaction to 24h occluded application of test substance (at concentrations up tp 20% on water) was seen in this study, leading to a conclusion that the substance was non-irritating.
