Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Assessment of the parent compound Benzenepropanoic acid, 3,5-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxy-,C7-9-branched alkyl esters (CAS: 125643 -61 -0)

Seedling emergence / seedling growth test (OECD 208)

The toxicity of Benzenepropanoic acid, 3,5-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxy-,C7-9-branched alkyl esters towards three plant species (Brassica rapa, Vicia sativa, Lolium perenne) has been tested in a seedling emergence / seedling growth test according to OECD guideline 208 (CIBA-GEIGY 1990).

No significant effects on seedling emergence and growth were observed up to the highest test substance concentration of 100 mg/kg soil dw. Therefore, the EC50 for all plant species can be established as > 100 mg/kg soil dw.

Assessment of the impurity Metilox (CAS 6386-38-5)

The effects on seedling emergence and early growth of higher plants were assessed with the three species Lolium perenne, Brassica rapa and Vicia sativa in growth test in accordance to OECD guideline 208. The test was conducted with nominal concentrations of 1, 10 and 100 mg/kg. No toxic effects were observed in all three species neither emergence nor growth.
