Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates. No acute toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity to invertebrates was tested in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 202 (CIBA-GEIGY 1993f) using Daphnia magna. Due to the low solubility of the test substance supersaturated stock solutions using an emulsifier (alkylphenol-polyglycolether) have been prepared. Calculated amounts of the stock solutions to produce the desired test concentrations (nominal: 10, 18, 32, 58 and 100 mg/L) were given into the water and were homogeneously distributed. A deposit of test substance was observed at all concentrations except 10 mg/l at the end of exposure. However, no acute toxic effects have been observed within the range of solubility in any of the tested concentrations. Therefore, the EC50 after 48 h is above 100 mg/L (nominal) and 11.2 mg/L (measured at the end of the test), respectively.
