Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish: LC50 (96h) = 63.4 mg/L (45.5 to 88.7)

Long-term toxicity to fish: no need to investigate further effects indicated due to: not released to water and instability in water

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates: IC50 (48h) = 20.8 mg/L (17.6 to 24.6)

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates: no need to investigate further effects indicated due to: not released to water and instability in water

Toxicity to aquatic algae: ErC50 (72h) = 14.4 mg/L (13.6 to 15.4)

Toxicity to microorganisms: EC50 (3h) > 10000 mg/L (respiration rate)

Additional information

All experiments results have been considered in order to assess the aquatic toxicity potential of the substance. In all cases, L(E)C50values recorded resulted to be higher than 1 mg/L, therefore, the substance does not meet the criteria for classification for acute aquatic hazard. Additionally, long-term data were not considered for the evaluation of aquatic toxicity as the substance is not to be released into the water, and additionally it is considered unstable in water, and therefore does not pose a risk to aquatic environments in the long-term.

Based on this information, the substance is not classified for aquatic toxicity according to the CLP Regulation (EC) 1272/2008.
