Using the EPISuite program v4.00, the QSAR Modelling of Sabljic (1995), and the estimation according to Gerstl (1990) the calculated logKoc-values were in the range of 2.65 - 2.91. Dibenzylether has a moderate sorption to soil and sediment, and a slow migration potential to groundwater.

The Henry's Law Constant of 0.679 Pa m3/mol, calculated from the ratio of water solubility and vapour pressure, indicates the test item is slightly volatile from the aqueous phase.

The distribution in a "unit world" was calculated on the physico-chemical properties. The main target compartments for dibenzyl ether are water with 54.4 %, air with 27.8 %, soil with 8.8 % and sediment with 8.9%.
