Description of key information
Based on its flash point the substance has not to be classified as a flammable liquid according to EC 1282/2008.
The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases in contact with water.
The substance is not a self-heating substance or mixture.

The substance is liquid. The Flammability is derived from the flash point. The flash point was determined to be 73 °C at 1013 hPa based on literature data. Thus the substance has not to be classified as flammable liquid. For GHS UN it has to be classified as a combustible liquid Cat. 4.
Based on the experience of handling with the substance and chemical structure no pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.
The substance does not need to be classified as self-heating as the substance is a liquid.
Justification for classification or non-classification
In accordance with Annex I, Section 2.1, Section 2.2, Section 2.3, Section 2.7, Section 2.9, Section 2.10 Section 2.11, Section 2.12 of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and UN GHS Rev 6 (2015) the substance has not to be classified as readily combustible solid in class 4 Division 4.1, self-heating substance in Class 4 Division 4.2, substances which in contact with water emit flammable gases in Class 4 Division 4.3, pyrophoric liquid, pyrophoric solid in class 4 Division 4.2, flammable gases in class 2 or as aerosol in class 2.
The following classification criteria for liquids are met:
no Catagory of EU Directive 67/548/EEC: flash point > 55 °C; no Category of EU CLP: flash point > 60 °C
Category 4 (combustible liquid) of UN GHS: flash point >= 60 °C and <= 93 °C
