Solutions of 1 g/L and 1 mg/L were prepared and observed to become cloudy. Both solutions were then left over 60 hours and after this period, the solution was found to be clear. Another 1g/L was then prepared and sonicated. After approximately 3 hours the sample had gone into solution. Measurements were then taken.

A second solution was prepared in the same way and sonicated until the solution was clear (approximately 3 hours 5 minutes).

Due to the extended solubilisation time and the difference in readings between the two test then a range has been reported for the surface tension rather than a mean.

Result : 63.4 - 71.6 mN.m-1 (range)
