1. Based on Lithium Borates Category Justification Document (section13):

Based on the available animal data and on the outcome of two large epidemiological studies that were recently published, and that both show a complete absence of reproductive toxicity of boron compounds in humans, a reproductive classification Category 2 is proposed with SCLs of 1.0% based on molar boron content for all lithium borate substances listed in this category.

2.Based on this statement and with the knowledge that the molecular weight of Li2B4O7 is 169.1 g/ mol and the boron content is 25.54%, a SCL of 3.8% for dilithium tetraborate, and a total concentration of elemental boron of 0.96% by weight is possible.
