Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
May - September 2015
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: GLP Study conducted according to EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. certificate)
Key result
Relative self-ignition temperature:
> 400 °C
Remarks on result:
other:
Remarks:
at atm. press. of 1.0 atm
Conclusions:
Whilst heating the test item, no relevant exothermic reaction/self-heating of the sample has been observed at up to 400 °C. Study did not go beyond 400 °C. The test item has been determined not to have a relative self-ignition temperature below 400 °C.

Description of key information

The substance does not self-ignite below 400 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance is a solid with a melting point < 160 °C, therefore we could have waived this endpoint. Nevertheless a study was made and it was found that this substance does not self-ignite at temperatures below 400 °C.
