Executive summary:

The short-term toxicity of Chlorendic Anhydride to the fresh water fish species Danio rerio was examined in accordance to the OECD guideline for the testing of chemicals 203. As Chlorendic Anhydride forms Chlorendic Acid in aqueous medium, the degradation product was actually tested.

A 96 hours toxicity test was performed on the fresh water fish species Danio rerio. A limit test was performed at a concentration of 100 mg/l with analytical monitoring and the LC50 value was determined by observation of mortality. The tests were conducted under controlled conditions. Dosing was performed under static conditions. Negative controls was valid.

The test material did not induce death of the selected test species Danio rerio with the LC50 being greater than 100 mg/L.
