Description of key information

There was no evidence of biodegradation of Chlorendic Anhydride by the end of the test on Day 31. Substances are considered to be inherently biodegradable in accordance with the test guideline if a significant level of biodegradation, > 70%, is observed in the test. Chlorendic Anhydride cannot therefore, be considered to be inherently biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The substance was tested at 162.3 mg/l and gave a 0% biodegradability therefore the NOEC = 162.3 mg/l
