Description of key information

Triacetonetriamine (TAT) has a low potential for bioaccumulation, as the logKow is below 3.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, column 2 of Annex IX, section 9.3.2, bioaccumulation testing in aquatic species is not required as the partition coefficient of the substance is < 3 indicating a low potential for bioaccumulation. The log Kow of the test substance was experimentally determined to be 0.58 at 20 °C using the shake flask method according to technical guideline OECD TG 107. Hence, it can be concluded that the potential for bioaccumulation is low and no further testing is required.
