Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The toxicity to Daphnia magna was determined in a GLP-compliant guideline study (OECD 202). The EC50 (48 h) was estimated to be 43.1 mg/L based on the nominal concentrations of the test substance.

Additional information

The toxicity of the Triacetontriamine (TAT) on aquatic freshwater invertebrates was determined in a static test with Daphnia magna according to guideline OECD 202 (2004), in compliance to GLP. The study was performed over a period of 48 h with 5 concentration levels of the test substance. An influence of the pH value on the effect level could be excluded by additional testing of the highest test concentration of the test and control groups with a neutralized pH.

The effect level EC50 (24 h) was assessed to be 78.5 mg/L and the EC50 (48 h) was assessed to be 43.1 mg/L based on the nominal test concentration. The NOEC was calculated to be 12.5 mg/L. The EC50 (48 h) is used in the chemical safety assessment.
