Biodegradation in water: screening test:

The test substance was examined for ready biodegradability according to the national German Standard DIN 38409, Part 43 equivalent to OECD 301 A and OECD 302 B (Inherent biodegradability: Zahn-Wellens test). The test substance was shown to be ready biodegraded by an average of < 10 % and inherently biodegraded by an average of 80 - 90 % over the test period of 28 days. Thus, the test substance was found to be not ready biodegradable but inherently biodegradable according to OECD criteria under the test conditions.
