1.53 mg/L

Additional information

As key study regarding acute toxicity to fish a non-GLP test according to ASTM using fathead minnow Pimephales promelas in a flow-through approach was identified (Veith et al. 1989). After 96 hours of exposure a LC50 of 1.53 mg/L was estimated, related to the measured concentration.

This experimental result is supported by a read-across approach usnig the OECD QSAR Toolbox v4.5. Based on five nearest neighbors after categorization the LC50 was calculated to be 7.36 mg/L. This value is in the same order of magnitude as the experimental value from Veith et al. (1989). The substance fulfilled the criteria of the applicability domain of the Toolbox.

It can be concluded that the substance is acutely toxic to fish.
