Short-term tests with fish, invertebrates, algae and microorganisms are available. All effect values for aquatic species and bacteria are above the water solubility of the substance. Therefore, the substance is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic organisms and showes no toxicity in the range of water solubility.

Furthermore, the transformed/dissoluted vanadium concentrations determined according to OECD 29 guideline (BASF AG, 2007) are far below the environmental reference values for vanadium. Consequently, no negative ecological effects are expected.
