Conclusions:
The OECD harmonized ring method was used for the determination of the surface tension of 2-sec-butylphenol. The surface tension of a test solution at a concentration of 1 g/l at 20.0°C was 47.4 mN/m. According to this, the test substance is considered to be surface active.
Executive summary:

The surface tension of 2 -sec-butylphenol was determined by the ring method. The method followed the OECD Guideline 115 (Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions) and EU Method A. 5 (Surface tension). Five measurements were performed until a constant value on the surface tension was reached (< 0.5 mN/m).

The surface tension of a test solution at a concentration of 1 g/l at 20.0°C was 47.4 mN/m. According to this, the test substance is considered to be surface active.
