Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of Isopropenyl methyl ether is:
Pow= 50.8 (log Pow= 1.7).
Test temperature: 21.0 ± 1.5°C.
Executive summary:

From the structural formula of Iso propenyl methyl ether, the logarithm of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/water), log Pow, was calculated to be 0.50 using the Rekker calculation method. Therefore, the flask-shaking method was chosen for the determination of the partition coefficient ( (n-octanol/water) of Isopropenyl methyl ether.

The results of the calculation method and the Flask-shaking method are not in agreement. Since the Flask-shaking method is a more accurate method than the calculation method, the results of the Flask-shaking method are reported as the partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of Isopropenyl methyl ether. The partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of Isopropenyl methyl ether is 50.8 (log Pow= 1.7) at 21.0 ± 1.5°C.
