Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
The NOEC of Isopropenylmethylether for both growth inhibition and growth rate reduction corresponds with an initial concentration of 118 mg/l and a mean measured concentration of 45 mg/l based on the whole test period of 72 hours.
Executive summary:

Isopropenylmethylether did not inhibit growth of the fresh water algae species Selenastrum capricornutum at nominal loadings up to and including 200 mg/l. Based on an extra peak appearing in the chromatogramms, which increased in time, the substance was probably not hydrolytically stable. Altough the initial concentrations were significantly lower than the nominal, the initial concentrations exceed 100 mg/l at the highest nominal loading of 200 mg/l. The data further indicated a tendency to stimulation of algal growth proportional to the loading of the substance.
