Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Additional information

Phototransformation in air

After evaporation or exposure to the air, the product will be rapidly degraded by photochemical processes.

Hydrolysis

Hydrolysis is not expected due to the absence of hydrolysable groups.

Biodegradation

Not readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria).

Bioaccumulation

Accumulation in organisms cannot be excluded (the substance is an onsite intermediate)

Adsorption / desorption

Adsorption to solid soil phase cannot be excluded at pH 5 - 8 (logKoc > 3.0).

Henry's Law constant

From the water surface, the substance will not evaporate into the atmosphere.

Distribution modelling

Over time, the substance will preferentially distribute into the compartments water (21.1%), sediment (39.5%) and soil (39.1%).

The distribution estimates can be confirmed by the conducted Zahn-Wellens-Test (OECD 302B). Due to the rapid decline (> 90% DOC-removal after 3 h) it can be concluded that the elimination from water is mainly due to adsorption to the solid phase.
