Additional information

Tetraamminepalladium(II) nitrate is only brought on the market in solution (usually with 6-7% Pd content) because of the explosive properties of the solid form. The solvent can however be separated without affecting the chemical stability of the substance. A theoretical composition of the solid substance is included in the Composition section of the REACH dossier, but physico-chemical endpoints for this substance are completed based on the solution as marketed.

Physico-chemical endpoints have been completed using test data and appropriate data waivers.

This substance is classified as Self-reactive substance type A (H240) and labelled with EUH044: Risk of explosion if heated under confinement based on expert judgement following handling and use of the substance.
