Description of key information

Not readily biodegradable, OECD 301 B, EU Method C.4-C, L'Haridon 1998

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The ready biodegradability of the test material was determined in accordance with standardised guidelines OCED 301 B and EU Method C.4 -C by the measurement of CO2 evolution in a modified Sturm test. Under the conditions of the test, biodegradation of the test material was 28.42 % in 28 days; therefore, the test material can be classified as not readily biodegradable.

The study was performed in line with GLP and accepted standardised guidelines with a high standard of reporting. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria of Klimisch (1997) and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test material.

The available data are considered to be complete and the conclusion, not readily biodegradable, was taken forward for risk assessment.
