Additional information

The key study assessing the 1-octanol / water partition coefficient of phenylcyclohexane is a recent and well-documented experiment according to OECD and GLP guidelines (Schneider, 2013). In this study, the partition coefficient phenylcyclohexane was determined via the HPLC method. Eight neutral reference materials were injected into an HPLC system at 20 +/- 1°C under the same analytical conditions as the test item. A calibration curve was created by using the measured retention times and the known log Pow values of the reference materials for linear regression. The measured values of the test item were within the calibrated range. From the resulting calibration curve, a log Pow value of 5.6 was calculated for phenylcyclohexane.

The available supporting studies are in line with the findings of the key study.
