Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Cyclohexylbenzene has a relative density of 0.942 at a temperature of 20°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.942

Additional information

In the key study, the (relative) density of the test item cyclohexylbenzene was determined according to EU and OECD guidelines.

Calibrated pycnometers were initially weighed, filled with the test item, equilibrated to test temperature and then weighed again. The determination of the density was performed twice at both test temperatures (20 °C and 40 °C) . The relative density was calculated only for the test temperature 20 °C .

The densities at 20°C and 40°C are 942 and 927 kg/m3, respectively. The relative density at 20°C is 0.942.
