- Executive summary:
The vapour pressure of FAT 75637/B was determined as per OECD test guideline 104. Effusion method (isothermal thermogravimetry) was performed for arriving at the vapour pressure of the test item at four different temperatures at ambient pressure. Based on the findings of this study, the vapour pressure of test item, FAT 75637/B at 20 °C and 25 °C was extrapolated from the vapour pressure curve and was calculated to be 3.2004E-7 Pa and 6.7066E-7 Pa, respectively.
Reference
The obtained weight loss, evaporation rate and corresponding log Pt values of reference substances are presented. The graph of the log Pt vs Log Vt for the reference substances was presented. Correlation coefficients (r) for the graph of reference substances for the determination of C and D constants was found to be 0.9996. Under each determination of weight loss for the test item evaporation rate and corresponding log Pt of test item at four different temperatures was presented in Table below;

A vapour pressure curve was plotted using the inverse value of experimental temperature in K (1/T) on the X-axis and the log of the vapour pressure (Pt) determined at that temperature on the Y-axis. The vapour pressure of the test item at 20 and 25 °C was extrapolated from the vapour pressure curve using slope and intercept. The calculated vapour pressure of test item at 20 and 25 °C was 3.2004E-7 Pa and 6.7066 E-7 Pa, respectively.
