First-aid measures

· General information: Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product.· After inhalation: In case of unconsciousness place patient stably in side position for transportation.· After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.· After eye contact: Remove contact lenses immediately!· After swallowing: Call for a doctor immediately.· Information for doctor:· The following symptoms may occur: Contact with dust may cause irritation of mucous membranes.· Skin: Irritating action through sensitization.· Eyes: Irritation. Reddening of skin, burning of eyes, lachrymation.· Respiratory tract: After breathing of dust possible rritation of nose, respiratory tract, lungs: Cough, shortness of breath.· Hazards and systemic effects: Strong irritating effect after breathing of dust and contact with eyes. Sensitization possible through skin contact.· Possible routes of intake: Intake by swallowing or inhalation of dust.· Target organs: Skin, eyes, mucous membranes. Respiratory tract· Chronic effects: Sensitization· Treatment: Symptomatic treatment.

Fire-fighting measures

· Suitable extinguishing agents: Fire-extinguishing powder. Carbon dioxide.· For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with full jet.· Special hazards caused by the substance, its products of combustion or resulting gases: Formation of explosive dust/air-mixtures is possible. In case of fire, the following can be released: Carbon monoxide (CO). High risk of dust explosions!· Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Chemical resistant protective suit. Under the protective suit a fire protective suit according to EN 469 should be applied. Use chemical protective suit and self contained breathing apparatus while undressing contaminated co-workers or handling contaminated equipment.

Accidental release measures

· Person-related safety precautions: Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Avoid formation of dust. Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/ aerosol. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not breathe dust. Avoid spillage of product into the environment. Access only for trained personnel with personal protective equipment.· Measures for environmental protection: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Keep contaminated washing water and dispose of appropriately.· Measures for cleaning/collecting: Dispose contaminated material as waste. Pick up mechanically. If formation of dust cannot be avoided use respiratory filter device. Ensure adequate ventilation. Possible formation of explosive dust/air mixtures.· Additional information: Formation of explosive dust/air-mixtures is possible. Discharge into waste water channels and biological treatment plants only after clearence with the operating company and in accordance with local Authority approval.

Handling and storage

· Handling· Information for safe handling: Keep containers tightly sealed. Empty containers must not be used for other products. Contaminated protective equipment should be cleaned before taking it off. Fill only in dedicated and assigned containers.· Information about fire - and explosion protection: Dust can combine with air to form an explosive mixture. High risk of dust explosions!· Storage· Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: No special requirements.· Corrosion of metals: It should generally be borne in mind that there is a possibility of corrosion on contact with this material. Resistance should be checked in each individual case.· Information about storage in one common storage facility: Do not store together with alkalis (caustic solutions).Store away from oxidizing agents.· Further information about storage conditions: None.· Maximum storage temperature: +30°C· Acceptable storage time: No data available.

Exposure controls / personal protection

· Additional information about design of technical facilities: Teke care of sufficient ventilation. Avoid formation of dust.· Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: Not required.· Personal protective equipment· General protective and hygienic measures: Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed. Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Avoid contact with the eyes. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Notice: Product may cause sensitization through skin contact. Contaminated protective suit shall be cleaned before taking it off.· Protection of hands: Protective gloves. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.· Eye protection: Safety glasses· Body protection: Use dust-proof protective suit.· Limitation and supervision of exposure into the environment: Avoid spillage of product into the environment. If possible use this material only in closed systems and devices. In case of open plant systems (sampling devices, filling and discharging, cleansing works etc.) use local exhaust and collecting trays. Follow emission limit values. Measures in case of unwanted emissions should be established.· Risk management measures: General protective and hygienic measures have to be observed. Handling and use of this material/formulation only under controlled conditions in closed systems. Employees who use this material/formulation must be trained and demonstrably instructed about possible risks for man and environment. Measures for prevention of hazards in case of unwanted leakage (LOPC) shall be implemented.

Stability and reactivity

· Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: High danger of dust explosions.· Sensitive to: Air: Risk of dust explosions.· Materials to be avoided: Acids; Strong oxidizing agents.· Dangerous reactions: High risk of dust explosions! Violent reaction with water at higher temperatures. Formation of explosive dust/air mixtures is possible.· Dangerous decomposition products: Carbon monoxide

Disposal considerations

· Recommendation: Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system. Must be specially treated adhering to official regulations. If possible recovery or recycling.· European waste catalogue: 07 01 99 (wastes not otherwise specified)· Uncleaned packaging:· Recommendation: Empty contaminated packagings thoroughly. They may be recycled after thorough and proper cleaning. Packagings that may not be cleansed are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product.· Appropriate disposal: Empty containers completely. Storage in a safe place after emptying.· Biological waste water treatment: Discharge into waste water channels and biological treatment plants only after clearence with the operating company and in accordance with local Authority approval.
