Additional information

Skin irritation/corrosion:

As per the Annex VII column 2 of REACH regulation, the available information indicates that the substance difluoroacetic acid is a strong acid (pH ≤ 2.0). Also the substance is classified as very toxic in contact with skin. Thus testing for skin irritation is not likely. Hence this endpoint was considered for waiver

Eye irritation:

As per the Annex VII column 2 of REACH regulation, the available information indicates that the substance difluoroacetic acid is a strong acid (pH ≤ 2.0).Alsosubstance is classify as corrosive to the skin or irritating to eyes. Thus testing for eye irritation is not likely. Hence this endpoint was considered for waiver

Justification for selection of skin irritation / corrosion endpoint:

As per the Annex VII column 2 of REACH regulation, the available information indicates that the substance difluoroacetic acid is a strong acid (pH ≤ 2.0). Also the substance is classified as very toxic in contact with skin. Thus testing for skin irritation is not likely. Hence this endpoint was considered for waiver

Justification for selection of eye irritation endpoint:

As per the Annex VII column 2 of REACH regulation, the available information indicates that the substance difluoroacetic acid is a strong acid (pH ≤ 2.0). Also substance is classify as corrosive to the skin or irritating to eyes. Thus testing for eye irritation is not likely. Hence this endpoint was considered for waiver
