Self-ignition temperature: ≥ 400°C

There are no reliable data for the self-ignition temperature of the substance. However, in accordance with Section 1 of REACH Annex XI testing is not considered necessary because read-across from other chloro(methyl)silanes indicates that the self-ignition temperature is above 400°C (Dichlorodimethylsilane: 425°C; Chlorotrimethylsilane 407°C; Trichloro(methyl)silane: 408°C). In addition, the substance is an on-site isolated intermediate used under highly controlled conditions.
