In the preliminary test, DIMETHYL 2-METHYL GLUTARATE was stored 24 hours at -20°C in a freezer. As the sample was not frozen after this time, the freezing temperature of DIMETHYL 2-METHYL GLUTARATE is below -20°C.

During the main tests, about 3 mL and 5 mL, respectively, of the test item placed in a small test tube were cooled down from room temperature to about -75°C using a dry ice and acetone mixture.

During both main tests, the test item increased in viscosity and became turbid but was still movable. Therefore, no clear freezing point could be determined within the temperature range between 20 °C and -75 °C.

Conclusions:
DIMETHYL 2-METHYL GLUTARATE did no freeze under the conditions of the test.
